A.M. Wild is a white, queer, nonbinary children’s book author who believes that books are places where we can collectively hope and heal. Each project they work on is a unique reflection of the world as they see it or dream it could be.

 

Their debut title, Not He Or She, I'm Me, a picture book for 3-6 year olds about a day in the life of a nonbinary child, was released by Henry Holt Books for Young Readers in 2023, received three starred reviews, was named one of the most empowering picture books of the year by Kirkus, was named a Stonewall Honor title and appeared on the 2025 Rainbow Book list highlighting the best in lgbtqia+ youth books for that year.

 

Two picture books are forthcoming, Mama, Zaza, and Me, acquired by Henry Holt Books for Young readers, and the people's beach, acquired by kokila.
